Mounts Palay-Palay–Mataas-na-Gulod Protected Landscape or more commonly known as Pico de Loro has just re-opened with a new standard protocol that is leaving many mountain-climbing enthusiasts perplexed. But don’t fret, it’s actually quite easy to register when you know where to go. All you have to do is follow these simple steps.

Step 1: Go to https://mppmngnp.com/.

This is the official website of Mounts Palay-Palay–Mataas-na-Gulod Protected Landscape. This is where you can book a schedule.

Step 2: Click the ‘BOOK A SCHEDULE’ button.

Scroll down to see the ‘Book a Schedule’ section.

Once you click the ‘BOOK A SCHEDULE‘ button, you will be re-directed to a page that shows their calendar availability.

Step 3: Select your desired date.

Dates in bolden green are the dates they are open.

If it’s greyed out, that means the date is not available for booking.

Step 4: Select your desired time slot.

Once you’ve selected an available date, the remaining time slots will show.

When the date you’ve selected no longer has available time slots, nothing will show.

Step 5: Once you’ve selected a time slot, click ‘Proceed’.

Step 6: Fill out the Visitors Details form.

To go back to the calendar, click ‘Book New Date‘.

If you’re climbing with a friend or a group, click ‘Add Companion‘ as long as there are remaining slots. (Each time slot only allows 10 people to climb).

Step 7: Once you’re done filling out the Visitors Details, click ‘Register’.

Step 8: Read the Terms and Condition.

You will be redirected to the Terms and Condition page once you click ‘Register‘.

Once you’ve read the Terms and Condition, confirm that you agree by clicking the checkbox ‘OK. I agree to the Terms and Condition‘ then ‘Continue‘.

Step 9: Click the ‘Print’ button to save your receipt.

The ‘CONFIRM Booking’ button will not be available for clicking unless you print and save the receipt first.

Step 10: Click the ‘CONFIRM Booking’ button.

Once the receipt has been saved, the ‘CONFIRM Booking‘ button will be available for clicking. Click it to proceed.

You will know that the booking is confirmed when the prompt shows as successful. Click ‘Okay‘.

Important details:

• The fee per slot/person is P200.
• Each time slot only allows 10 people.
• A tour guide fee of P500 is required, which can be shared by 5 people on the same time slot.

Now that you’re all set and booked, you just have to wait for your schedule to arrive and you can start basking in the beauty of Mounts Palay-Palay–Mataas-na-Gulod Protected Landscape.
